{"id":250,"date":"2013-04-04T11:05:08","date_gmt":"2013-04-04T11:05:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.eventgate.com.au\/?p=250"},"modified":"2017-07-12T21:20:06","modified_gmt":"2017-07-12T21:20:06","slug":"creating-a-group-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eventgate.com.au\/blog\/creating-a-group-event\/","title":{"rendered":"Creating a Group Event"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>EventGate has a new feature called a Group Event that makes it simpler and quicker to register members of a team or group and keep all that information in one place.<\/p>\n<p>This type of event is only applicable where each attendee in the group will be purchasing the same ticket(s).<\/p>\n<p>To avoid &#8216;clogging&#8217; your registration pages with features you don&#8217;t use, this feature is only available on demand. <a title=\"Contact Us\" href=\"http:\/\/www.eventgate.com.au\/contact-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Contact us<\/a> if you would like to use this feature.<\/p>\n<p>In order to allow your event to use this feature you must select the group registration button from the Attendee tab.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.eventgate.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/8771bf7fd5d66ad5badc103d9489585a.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then new questions for the Group become available.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.eventgate.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/5c3ead54011ffa1faa373de759dcff28.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.eventgate.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/450b806a4cab812c76016af775d6d41d.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You may think, but wait, I want to ask for a Team Name at the Group level. You can, but first press Next so that EventGate updates your event type.<\/p>\n<p>Then return to the Attendee tab and create your new question.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.eventgate.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/fa547d78804f2b47ca79d698ca41a5ff.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.eventgate.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/6368dce9d6321b5b259b506adcb298e7.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now you have a brand new Group section on your registration form.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.eventgate.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/13b6c5c16e397a0ca7685f966d4a4ac8.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Participants can use the Register Another button to add extra people<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.eventgate.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/e2bcee6afd417f003a0e3adf44962cd6.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A ticket is purchased per attendee.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.eventgate.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/64d41cd3176770159041062dc672a99a.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Administrators can use the new Registration Group List to keep track of registrations<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.eventgate.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/0839127c55f640fd9fa5bbcbb882423b.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.eventgate.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/c7024c8e55239c49aff3d79f4f5ebc56.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Groups can be updated by the administrator using the edit button.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>One thing to remember is that the ticket price is per attendee, not per team.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>EventGate has a new feature called a Group Event that makes it simpler and quicker to register members of a team or group and keep all that information in one place.
